Barrier Screw Barrel

A conventional single screw in the melting zone will squeeze the solid bed due to the constant migratory movement of the melt pool, causing it to disintegrate. After the solid bed disintegrates, the unmelted solid particles are suspended in the glue, resulting in lower melting efficiency and unstable discharge. The barrier screw is designed to solve this problem.
Barrier screws are available with smooth inner wall barrels or grooved feed sleeve barrels. A wear-resistant barrel is necessary to operate the barrier screw in its high pressure environment.

Application

1. Suitable for LDPE, LLDPE blown film or cast film extrusion.
2. Produce PE, PP sheets and pipes with high-efficiency high-speed extrusions.

8. Nitriding fragility: less than Grade I.

9. Surface Roughness: Ra 0.4 μm

10. Screw Linearity: ≤ 0.015mm

11. Alloy depth: 2-4 mm
